When I first meet with my couples, I always ask why they chose their wedding venue. Usually, they give the response that they like the grounds or location of the venue. Heidi and Barry gave the most unique response to my question and I'll never forget it. They said, "We believe that it takes four seasons to truly get to know someone else. That's why we chose to get married at the Four Seasons in Baltimore." It doesn't get much more real and authentic than that and their wedding day was filled with genuine moments. Congrats Heidi and Barry!
Natalie and Eric sat through some horrific DC traffic to make it to their engagement session but it was totally worth it because the weather and scenery were absolutely perfect! Did I mention that Natalie and Eric are total naturals at the whole interacting and posing thing? They crushed it throughout their entire session and it resulted in one of my favorite engagement sessions to date. Be sure to stay tuned for more from them when they get married in December at the Cork Factory Hotel in Lancaster, PA!
The weather was absolutely perfect for an evening engagement session with Heather and Jon at The Hotel Hershey. The grounds of The Hotel Hershey are absolutely impeccable and really provide a great backdrop for any couple. Heather and Jon are big Eagles fans and came dressed to the nines in their gear. Little did we know that the Eagles were actually staying at the hotel that evening! Philadelphia Eagles President Don Smolenski actually made an appearance at the engagement session and it's certainly something that we won't forget anytime soon! Stay tuned for more from these two when they get married at the Phoenixville Country Club in October!
One of the golden rules for photographers is that you never work with your family or friends because if things go wrong, you don't want it to damage your relationships forever. However, I knew that wouldn't be an issue with Kim and Chip's wedding due to their easygoing nature and how well their engagement session went. As I expected, the day went so smoothly and we all had a wonderful time at the Fleisher Art Memorial. Their dog, Stanley, even made a few appearances throughout the day! Congrats Kim and Chip!
Dex is a fellow photographer (and Nikon shooter) so I'm always a bit nervous when working with other photographers. However, Laura and Dex couldn't have been sweeter and easier to work with. The joy and passion that they have for life is contagious and my cheeks hurt by the end of their engagement session from smiling and laughing so much. I truly can't wait for their wedding in September at the Vineyard at Grandview!
