When Julie and Alex told me about their wedding day vision, I knew it was going to be a classic yet unique Philly wedding that would be one for the record books. And it certainly lived up to and exceeded those expectations!
We started the day at the Hotel Monaco where both Julie and Alex got ready for the big day. Once everyone was ready, we made our way over to the Second National Bank where we did portraits of the wedding party. We then hopped on the trolley and rode over to Christ Church, a church founded in 1695, for the ceremony. Then, we went back to the Second National Bank for portraits with Julie and Alex with some amazing light. Finally, we made our way over to the stunning Ballroom at the Ben. It's truly a venue that leaves you speechless when you walk in!
The day was absolutely perfect from start to finish and I think the moments we captured certainly prove that point!
Waking up at 4 AM and driving over an hour isn't something that most people would be willing to do for sunrise pictures. However, Jamie is a photographer as well and thankfully convinced Keenan to do it. We were blessed with the most amazing sunrise that I've ever seen and we made the most of it while it lasted. The natural chemistry between these two certainly didn't hurt either. Nothing but smiles, laughs, and joking around throughout the entire morning. Stay tuned for more from these two when they get married in November!
Mother Nature couldn't make up it's mind on the day of Steph and Bobby's wedding but that didn't stop us (or them) from having a great time. It poured all morning and then the sun came out and melted us for a few hours before the sky became completely overcast and stormy again. Thankfully, the rain held off when we needed it to and Steph and Bobby's day went off without a hitch. There was so much genuine joy and laughter throughout the day and you could really feel the connections between everyone involved.
When I first meet with my couples, I always ask why they chose their wedding venue. Usually, they give the response that they like the grounds or location of the venue. Heidi and Barry gave the most unique response to my question and I'll never forget it. They said, "We believe that it takes four seasons to truly get to know someone else. That's why we chose to get married at the Four Seasons in Baltimore." It doesn't get much more real and authentic than that and their wedding day was filled with genuine moments. Congrats Heidi and Barry!
Natalie and Eric sat through some horrific DC traffic to make it to their engagement session but it was totally worth it because the weather and scenery were absolutely perfect! Did I mention that Natalie and Eric are total naturals at the whole interacting and posing thing? They crushed it throughout their entire session and it resulted in one of my favorite engagement sessions to date. Be sure to stay tuned for more from them when they get married in December at the Cork Factory Hotel in Lancaster, PA!
